Mykonos is an island of the Cyclades and is also called the island of the winds, its capital is Chora and the population of the island exceeds 10,000 inhabitants and during the summer months it floods with visitors. Mykonos is an island world famous for its entertainment and the large number of celebrities it attracts every year. Beyond the fun, Mykonos has many sights, archaeological sites, museums and wonderful beaches. The Mycenaean vaulted tomb, the Divides, the Neolithic settlement of Ftelia are some of the archaeological sites and there are also museums such as the archaeological museum, the Aegean Naval Museum and the Folklore Museum. Crossing the island we will see that it is full of windmills which give a very picturesque tone to the landscape, while in Chora we will find Little Venice which is named after the famous city of Italy because of its similarity. The well-known Mykonos Lighthouse is among the attractions, the famous Pelekan that we meet in the country is also a trademark. The beaches are many and organized in their majority, with crystal blue waters and golden sand, but the most famous ones are Panormos, Super Paradise and Psarou.
